What did they use for the first basketball hoops?
The first basketball hoops were simple peach baskets attached to the railing of a balcony in a Massachusetts gymnasium. James Naismith, the inventor of basketball, hung two baskets from the gym's balcony railing, which served as the first basketball hoops.
