“Come on, Bill. Why don’t you just break down and get a new hoop for the boy? That one is a disgrace. I mean, look at it. The thing wobbles every time the ball hits it. It is almost completely rusted. It is a disgrace.”

“Yeah, Bill. Buy one like I bought for my boy. He loves the thing. It is stable and it doesn’t rust. If you ever want your boy to really love the game, you know, like we did back in school, then you have to give him a good hoop.”

“Is it really that bad?”

“Bill, are you serious? It’s seen better days, man. It’s sad. No wonder your boy doesn’t seem interested in basketball. Would you play ball if your hoop looked like that? Imagine what the other kids say to him.”

“Oh, I see what you are saying. I really do need to get the boy a descent hoop. Maybe all us old men could get together for a game when I get it, huh? Or are you guys too old for a little physical activity?”
