Once a month we all get together and play a little basketball. Nowadays it is sometimes hard to get a day away to be able to do it.

John is a lawyer and when he isn’t stuck in litigation, he is busy with his twin boys.

Marv works construction. He is always working well into the evening hours. He is usually worn out and tired, but somehow manages to still be a volunteer fire fighter.

Tommy owns his own company. Most days he is glued to his cell phone and doesn’t have time for anyone. He lives, breathes, eats and sleeps business.

Then there is me. I am a family man. My wife and I have three kids. They range in age from one year to nine years old. They are my pride and joy. I work at a local accounting firm.

Yeah, the three of us usually are too busy to even chat on a regular basis, but nobody ever misses the monthly basketball game. We all talk about the old days when we went to college together and played on the team. We reminisce about life before it became so complex. Our game day is our one day a month when we get to just hang out with the guys and relax – it is well deserved and much needed.
